Overall, the leading natural gas marketers in North America collectively posted lower 4Q2020 sales volumes when compared with the year-earlier quarter, extending a streak of declining or flat year/year results that dates to mid-2019. NGI’s latest Top North American Natural Gas Marketers rankings show that several of the largest gas marketers reported declines for the latest quarter, led lower by production cuts in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Kevin Dobbs, NGI associate markets editor, and Patrick Rau, NGI’s director of strategy and research, dig into the drivers of those decreases and what 2021 may hold for natural gas volumes.
